  In the name of God Amen I John NAISH of the Parish of Bitton in the
    County of Gloucester Coalminer being in good health of body and of a sound mind
    memory and understanding thanks be to God for the same, but considering with my
    self the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof do this
    Sixth Day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and
    twenty two make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form
    following  That is to say Imprimis
  
    I give and devise unto my oldest son John NAISH All that my Close of
    Ground called Bartons and to the heirs of his body and for want of such ifsue
    to my son William NAISH and to the Heirs of his body & for want of
    such ifsue to the right Heirs of my said son John NAISH forever
  
    Item I give unto my said son John NAISH All that my Cottage or Tenement
    with the garden & Orchard thereto belonging situate & being in Upton
    within the said Parish of Bitton & now in the pofesfsion of my tenant Roger
      HARDING to hold to my said son John NAISH for the term of his
    natural life only
  
    Item I give unto my said son John NAISH such a Bed? Of mine with all the
    appurtenances thereto belonging & two such Crocks of mine as my wife
      Elizabeth shall think fit to be delivered unto him in one year next after
    my decease in case he be then of age
  
    Item I give & devise to my said son William NAISH All that my ground
    called Swallow Well? & to the Heirs of his body And for want of such ifsue
    to my said son John NAISH & to the Heirs of his body And in default
    of such ifsue to the right Heirs of my said son William NAISH for ever
  
    Item I give unto my said son William NAISH such a Bed? Of mine with all the
    appurtanences belonging thereunto & such a Crock of mine my said wife shall
    think fit to be delivered unto him in One Year next after my decease if he be
    then of age
  
    Item I give unto my Daughter Susannah NAISH All that my Dwelling House
    with the appurtanences situate in and being in Upton aforesaid formerly called
    Sheppards now in the pofsefsion of my tenant Samuel BATMAN together with
    a Close of pasture thereto belonging & adjoining containing by estimation
    three Acres & commonly called M[blot]me Close She paying yearly the whold
    Lords Rent being Twenty shillings a year To hold to my said Daughter Susannah
      NAISH her Executors Administrators & Afsigns in One Year next after my
    decease for all the remainder of my estate form & Interest therein in case
    she shall leave ifsue of her body at the time of decease But if she happens to
    dye and leaves no ifsue of her body Then I give the said premifses immediately
    after her decease so dying unto my said wife for & to her Executors Administrators
  & Afsigns for the remainder of the term thereon which shall be then to come
  
    Item I give unto my said Daughter Susannah NAISH such a Bed Browning
    Kettle & Silver spoon of mine as my said wife shall think fit to be
    delivered unto her in one year next after my decease
  
    Item I give unto my Daughter Edith NAISH All that my Dwelling House
    situate in Upton aforesaid now in the pofsefsion of my tenant Mary HARDING together with the two Orchards & Gardens thereto adjoining & also half
    an Acre of arable ground thereto belonging being hind? In & lying in the
    lower side of Uptons upper field To hold to my said Daughter Edith NAISH her Executors Administrators & Afsigns in One year next after my decease
    for all the remainder of my estate term & Interest therein in case she
    shall leave ifsue of her body at the time of her decease But if she happens to
    dye & leaves no ifsue of her body Then I give the said premifses
    immediately after her decease so dying without ifsue unto my said wife & to
    her Executors Administrators & Afsigns for the remainder of the term
    thereon which shall be then to come & unexpired
  
    Item I give unto my said Daughter Edith NAISH in One year next after my
    decease such a Bed Browning Kettle & Silver spoon of mine as my said wife
    shall think fit
  
    Item I give unto my Daughter Anne NAISH All that my Ground called Upper
    Butterwall? Containing by estimation Three Acres And also All that little
    Parock called Little Butterwell containing by estimation have an Acre To hold
    to my said Daughter Anne NAISH her Executors Administrators &
    Afsigns immediately after the decease of my said wife for all the remainder of
    my estate term & Interest therein in case she shall leave ifsue of her body
    at the time of her decease But if she happens to dye & leaves no ifsue Then
    I give the said –premifses immediately after her decease so dying unto my said
    wife & her Executors Administrators & Afsigns for the remainder of the
    term thereon which shall Go then to come
  
    Item I give unto my said Daughter Anne NAISH immediately after the
    decease of my said wife such a Bed of mine with all the appurtanences thereto
    belonging & such a Crock & Silver spoon of mine as my said wife shall
    think fit
  
    Item I give unto my daughter Sarah NAISH All that my Ground called Lower
    Butterwell containing by estimation three Acres & a half To hold to my said
    Daughter Sarah NAISH her Executors Administrators & Afsigns
    immediately after the decease of my said wife for all the remainder of my term
    estate & interest therein in case she shall leave ifsue of her body at the
    time of her decease But if she happens to dye & leaves no ifsue Then I give
    the said premifses immediately after her decease so dying unto my said wife
    unto her Executors Administrators & Afsigns for the remainder of the term
    therein which shall be then to come & unexpired
  
    Item I give unto my said Daughter Sarah NAISH immediately after the
    decease of my said wife such a Bed of mine with the appurtanences thereto
    belonging & such a Kettle & silver spoon of mine as my said wife shall
    think fit
  
    Item I give unto my daughters Elinor GONING & Mary STIBBS Five shillings apiece to be paid them in One Year next after my decease
  
    I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth NAISH All those my two Dwelling Houses
    with the two? Gardens thereunto belonging scituate & being in Stanton Drew
    in the County of Somerset & now in the pofsefsion of my two Brothers
      Cornelius & James NAISH To hold to my said Daughter Elizabeth
        NAISH her Executors Administrators and Afsigns in One Year next after my
    decease for all my estate term & interest therein
  
    I give unto my said Daughter Elizabeth NAISH in One Year next after my
    decease such a Bed & Silver spoon of mien as my said wife shall think fit
  
    Item I give unto my daughter Deborah NAISH all that my Dwelling House
    Orchard Garden Backside Barn & Barton thereto belonging scituate &
    being in Stanton Drew aforesaid & now in the pofsefsion of my tenant Walter
      WEBB together with the Table Board Cup board & Bedstead belonging to
    the said Dwelling House being Standards to the said House To hold to my said
    Daughter Deborah NAISH in One Year next after my decease for the term of
    her natural life only And immediately after her decease I give the said
    premifses to my said daughter Mary STIBBS (if she the said Mary
      STIBBS happens to survive her said Sister Deborah NAISH) for the
    remainder of my term therein which shall Go then to come & unexpired
  
    Item I give unto my said daughter Deborah NAISH in One Year next after
    my decease such a Bed & silver spoon of mine as my said wife shall think
    fit
  
    And my will is that my said wife shall have receive & take to her own
    proper use all the Rent efsues? & profits both of my Real & Personal
    Estate for One whole year next after my decease And lastly all the rest &
    residue of my Goods Chattles & Personal Estate whatsoever not herein before
    by me given (my Debts Legacies & funeral expenses being first paid &
    discharged ) I give & bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth NAISH & to her Executors Administrators and Afsigns forever And I do hereby
    nominate constitute & appoint her my said wife sole Executrix of this my
    last Will & Testament
