Information about our BUTLER family in the Bitton originally came from the 1769 Settlement Examination of James (the Younger) THOMPSON.
Per the agreement (and later found in local records) James m Mary BUTLER 1764, Kelston. Mary was buried Jan 6, 1766, Bitton; there were no children from this marriage. James then married Rebecca BUTLER, named as Mary's sister, February 9, 1767, Bristol.
Thanks to the recent posts on FreeREG (see our Links page), we now have some additional family details. All events from St Nicholas, Kelston, Somerset. Kelston is on the A431, Bristol Road, just past Upton Cheyney, GLS and North Stoke, SOM
