The earliest known SUMPTION is William, who died 1779, Bitton. He and wife Sarah (nee Unknown) had four daughters, named in William's will: Ann SUMPTION (later m. William PALMER, per Title Lease), Sarah (m. Richard HOLLISTER, 1778, Bath), Mary (m. John OLDS, 1757, Bitton), and Elizabeth (m. William THOMPSON, 1761, Bitton).
